Many Australians do not believe that recovery from mental illness is possible.
Evidence suggests however, that over 70 % of people with mental health problems recover and get on with their lives (WA Mental Health Commission).
The Ruah Mental Health website will feature regular recovery stories, gathered from the real life recovery experience of a person who lives with mental illness.
These stories have the potential to inspire hope for recovery and address the stigma and myths that surround mental health and mental illness.
